COPLIN PLANTATION – A man is recovering after surviving an explosion at his camp in Coplin Plantation.
Timothy Henderson, 71, received burns to his head, neck and hands and is being treated at Maine Medical Center.
Henderson was making some repairs at his camp on Flagstaff Lake Monday when he decided to make some dinner on a propane stove.
After eating he stepped out of the camp to get some tools from his truck when the entire camp exploded and burst into flames. He said his clothing caught fire and he rolled in the snow to put it out.
Maine State Fire Marshals are trying to pinpoint the cause, but Henderson suspects the source was the propane stove.
