TOPSHAM – Maine Drug Enforcement Agents seized over 4,000 pills with a street value of over $30,000.
The seizure and arrest came after a multi agency investigation. The drugs were being purchased through the mail and being distributed in Sagadahoc and Cumberland Counties.
Two individuals were arrested in the investigation and seizure, Benjamin Steers, 45, of Topsham for trafficking in schedule w drugs, as well as Scott Crone, 35 for illegal importation of schedule z drugs.
Both were brought to Two Bridges Jail. Steers has been released on bail. Crone is being held without bail due to prior charges.
The investigation is ongoing.
