SEDGWICK – Drivers are urged to take it easy on Maine roads as a storm sytem moves through the area.
The storm is bringing a couple of inches of snow to the Bangor region, although some areas could see more. The snow has created very slippery driving conditions. The speed limit has been lowered on the Interstate and Maine Turnpike. There have also been numerous reports of vehicles off the roads, including in Sedgwick where a serious accident was reported. State Police confirm a person was seriously injured in a crash on Caterpillar Hill along Route 15. A Lifeflight helicopter was called to the scene. The snow is expected to taper off as the afternoon rolls along.
