STATEWIDE- Senator Angus King continues his opposition for the repeal of the Affordable Care Act.
In the latest edition of his podcast– Inside Maine– King shares concerns about how the repeal could affect rural Maine hospitals.
He says without the ACA, a substantial amount of people would lose health care, in turn, having “catastrophic financial ramifications.”
He also says that studies show the repeal of the act will lead to premature death for many people.
King offered five amendments to the current legislation to try and preserve what he calls critical facets of the ACA.
