"Badly Decomposed Body" found in Thomaston Featured

THOMASTON - Maine State Police are investigating after a "badly decomposed body" was found in Thomaston on Wednesday.

 

Steve McCausland, the state police spokesman, says the body, which they believe is that of a man, was found in the wooded area near a Dunkin Donuts on Wednesday morning.

 

A member of the Maine State Police told us they were called to assist the Thomaston Police Department around 10 A.M.

 

The body was found by a workman a short distance from the parking lot, near the Rockland city line. 

 

Police are now looking at recent missing persons reports and the remains will be taken to the State Medical Examiner's Office for examination.
