WASHINGTON D.C. – Senator Susan Collins is set to announce a plan to replace the Affordable Care Act.
Maine’s republican senator will introduce the “Patient Freedom Act of 2017” today in Washington.
She said the plan will return power to the states, increase access to quality affordable health care for all Americans, improve patient choice and begin to bring coverage to nearly 30 million Americans. The goal is to make changes without creating a gap in coverage for those who currently use the Affordable Care Act.
Collins will introduce this bill with Maryland Senator Bill Cassidy.
