AUGUSTA – Some lawmakers want to set Maine’s clocks to daylight savings time permanently.
A bill presented to this session of the legislature seeks to put Maine into the Atlantic Time Zone.
Senator Eric Brakey, R-Auburn said “So there’s economic reasons to look at this. And there’s also studies have shown that workplace injuries go up in the direct aftermath of when the time changes.”
If lawmakers decide the time change makes sense, they’ll give Maine voters final approval.
