BANGOR – A man who robbed a Bangor laundromat on two occasions won’t be free anytime soon.
David Thiede, 61, is received his sentence today.
Authorities said he held up the Gold Star Cleaners at the corner of Third and Union Streets in January. On both occasions he walked into the business and put his hand in his pocket as if he had a weapon and demanded money.
This wont be his first time in prison. Thiede has also served time for a manslaughter conviction and for several bank robberies.
The sentencing was expected to take place earlier this morning, but according to our crew in the courtroom reports it hasn’t taken place.
We’ll be there when it does and will have the full story tonight at six.
