BANGOR - You can expect a whirlwind of activity this week in Washington as confirmation hearings get underway to consider President-Elect Trump's picks for top positions.

The hearings get underway Tuesday, and some folks in Maine are very concerned about what they're seeing.

In fact, a demonstration was held in Bangor a Tuesday morning to protest the nomination of Alabama Senator Jeff Sessions for Attorney General. The protesters are concerned about his positions on everything from race to a woman's right to have an abortion.

They're also concerned with Senator Susan Collins support for sessions and marched to her Bangor office to speak out.

Senator Collins was selected to introduce Senator Sessions as the confirmation hearing got underway this morning.

Similar protests were expected to be held in southern and far northern Maine.
