FAIRFILED – The year’s early snowfall is Proving to be huge for Maine’s sleigh ride businesses.
Maine Horse Drawn Services has been open since December 13th this year. The Fairfield business, which normally doesn’t open until mid January, has already seen plenty of riders so far this season.
The owner Steve Lemieux said the winter weather has already made up for last year’s mild winter.
Lemieux added “Normally I don’t get started until the 1st or second week of January before we have enough snow, it’s good for business because we get a lot of out-of-staters during the holidays and it’s a good thing because it’s going to make up for last year cause last year I only had enough for two weekends of sleigh rides.”
And if you’re looking for something fun to do during the cold months.
