OLD TOWN – Road conditions are to blame for a rollover accident on I-95 late last night.
Driver, Paul Hughes said he was traveling northbound on the interstate near mile marker 204 around 10:30 p.m. Wednesday, when his car hit a patch of ice, then rolled over onto the side of the highway.
A woman and baby were also in the vehicle at the time, but no one was hurt in the accident.
After the wreck, we caught up with Hughes who said to take it slow this morning.
Hughes stated “I hit the center line with about a tire or so for a second, and that’s when all of a sudden all four decided to go squirrelly, so it’s really bad out here and it’s really hard to catch yourself once you start sliding.”
Hughes also says road conditions worsened just north of Alton.
