BANGOR- Do you have goals and resolutions you’re looking to accomplish in 2017? Well you’re not alone, our local and state representatives say they have big plans for this upcoming year.
Our local and state representatives aren’t wasting any time getting started on their 2017 resolutions for the state of Maine. In fact, they’ve already created lists of what they want to get accomplished this year:-
Senator Angus King says fixing our drug epidemic, revitalizing our economy and creating more broadband usage for our smaller towns are just a few of his plans for 2017.
Bangor officials seem to agree that 2017 is the year of change, specifically updating our downtown and increasing tourism. City Councilors Joe Perry and Dan Tremble both agree that Pickering Square will be a topic of discussion this year.
But its not just Bangor, Senator Susan Collins stating her main priorities this year include increasing funding for biomedical research such as Alzheimers and cancer, creating a comprehensive program to repair our crumbling infrastructure, revamping our anti poverty program and making tax reform more simple…. Just to name a few.
And with our state representatives getting ready for this years legislation, Mike Thibodeau says they’ll continue to make Maine the greatest place to live, and raise a family.
