BANGOR – Lots of fun events will be held in Downtown Bangor on New Years Eve.
That includes The Bangor Public Library where a special party will be held. There will be dancing lessons, board games and a costume contest.
The library had to take a break from the New Years celebration while the renovations were underway, but now the staff is ready to celebrate and show off all the work that has been completed.
Hannah Young, Bangor Public Library said “We’ve had a little work going on so we’re excited to be back. We hope we can get the crowds back. Some years, we’ve had as many as 800 people show up for the party.”
There is no cost for the family friendly party which will run from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
People are also invited back to the library on January 28th at 1:30 p.m. That’s when an official ribbon cutting will take place to celebrate the completion of the libraries renovation project.
