HOLDEN – An underage drinking party in Holden has three people facing charges.
Officials said they were called to a Holden motel earlier this week.
Authorities said a father went to pick up his underage daughter and exchanged words with an occupant.
Police stated there were reports the father had a bat and the people in the room claimed to have a gun. Officials said found at least at least ten people in one small room, empty bottles of alcohol and drug paraphernalia.
Holden Police Chief, Chris Greeley said “It’s illegal and its not safe. In this particular circumstance one person got arrested for providing a place to do it so when you provide a place for underage people to drink you are breaking the law.”
Trevor King, 20, of Bucksport, Joseph French, 19, of Bucksport and Germaine Killian, 18,of Holden were arrested.
Police said they hope this situation will encourage any underage drinkers or those thinking about providing a place for them to drink to think twice before doing it.
