SKOWHEGAN – A woman who was seriously injured when fire erupted in her Skowhegan home has died.
Michelle Sweet, 53, was injured December 5th when her home caught fire in the Ames Trailer Park on Hilltop Drive.
Authorities said she had been smoking cigarettes while using oxygen. She managed to escape from the burning home and was found outside by her car.
Authorities announced yesterday that Sweet passed away Thursday.
It’s Maine’s 20th fire death of the year.
