HANCOCK – Two people have been arrested on drug charges in Hancock County.
Sherman Merchant, 32, of Gouldsboro and his girlfriend, Jade Giger, 30, were both arrested outside a convenience store in the town of Hancock.
Maine drug agents have been investigating the sale of heroin and other drugs in the Gouldsboro area and the trail led them to the couple.
Police also searched their home on South Gouldsboro rRoad and said they found 12 grams of heroin and four grams of crack cocaine.
Merchant is now charged with trafficking in heroin and crack and Giger is charged with possession of crack.
