AUGUSTA – A woman from Augusta will return to court next month to receive her sentence for robbing a convenience store.
Jessica Morang, 38, has pleaded guilty to holding up a Big Apple convenience store in June.
Authorities said Morang was was wearing a hooded sweatshirt and sunglasses when she walked into the store on Stone Street and demanded money.
Her accomplice, Abraham Matt, is already serving a sentence for robbing the same store the following month. He told police he and Morang needed money to support their drug habit.
Both the prosecution and defense have recommended Morang receive a sentence of two years in prison, but it will be up to a judge to decide the length of her term.
