BANGOR – Bangor Police and the MDEA Task Force arrest two for smuggling crack cocaine into Bangor.
A week long investigation into the importation and sale of crack cocaine into Bangor began following last Fridays arrest of Cedric Butler, 39, of Boston on cocaine related offenses. He is currently being held at the Penobscot County Jail on $5,000 cash bail.
Investigators learned others from out of state would be coming to Bangor to sell crack cocaine in an attempt to raise Butlers bail money.
Late Thursday night, police arrested Kareena Kahn, 24, of Boston who was in possession of approximately 63 grams of crack cocaine with a street value of $7,000.
Kahn was charged with class a aggravated trafficking in schedule w drugs. She is also being held at the Penobscot County Jail on $12,000 cash bail, and was expected to make her first court appearance in Bangor Friday.
The investigation is continuing and more arrests are possible
