BANGOR – Children and parents gathered at the Maine Discovery Museum to learn more about geography today.
Family Geography Day at the museum is an annual event to recognize the importance of geography. This year they also incorporated Acadia National Park’s centennial and are celebrating the power of national parks.
“Geography is a really important social skill that kids have to have. And it’s not one of the major focuses in school,” said Trudi Plummer, Director of Education for the Maine Discovery Museum
