BANGOR – Some shoppers went to space and back for great gifts for their children. Well, not quite. But the Challenger Learning Center met them half way.
Not only did families have the opportunity to shop for items used at the camps, but the center provided refreshments and tours in the mission control and space lab simulators.
“This is a way for people to come, do some holiday gift shopping. But also, to learn about all the things we have to offer for children from kindergarten all the way up to high school,” Susan Jonason, Executive Director said, “Public events, you know. There’s a lot of events going on for people of all ages.”
They are also encouraging people who are interested in camp to sign up because spaces are limited.
