BAR HARBOR – Black Friday and Cyber Monday are not the only opportunities to shop around. Those looking for discounted items now have the chance to give back in a unique way.
The Maine Seacoast Mission is getting involved in the Giving Tuesday Campaign which follows the big shopping events in the country. Instead of purchasing merchandises, people are encouraged to give to the causes they are passionate about.
“The Maine Seacoast Mission is pleased to be involved because we think that it will raise awareness of the work that the mission is doing,” said Ellen Pope, the director of development, “That’s our main motive. We really want to spread the word so that people will know what we are offering and also support us as they can.”
They are also raising funds for The Mission’s Washington County – Based housing Repair Program and its Island Help Program. To donate, visit HERE.
