ROCKLAND – A Thomaston man who accidentally shot his girlfriend to death will serve two and a half years in prison.
Dylan Grubbs, 24, will also be on probation for four years.
Authorities said Grubbs and Chelsea Jones, 22, went to a parking lot in Bath last November to meet a man who wanted to buy Grubb’s pistol.
The gun went off while he was showing the weapon and Jones was struck in the head.
Grubb’s was originally charged with manslaughter, but the charge was reduced to domestic violence, reckless conduct with a weapon as part of a plea agreement.
