BANGOR – Eastern Maine Medical Center dedicated a new interactive art piece today in the New Penobscot Pavilion.
The artwork incorporates the fingerprints of nearly 800 EMMC employees and volunteers. The piece symbolizes all of the many hands it takes to provide care to a patient.
Artist Frank Manzo stated “From doctors and nurses to as I said housekeeping staff and volunteers.”
Manzo said it took around 50 hours to complete the piece.
It is on display on the second floor corridor connecting the Grant Tower and Penobscot Pavilion.
