BANGOR – A man from Clinton will spend almost 6 years in prison for robbing a Rite Aid Pharmacy in Newport.
James Senior, 40, received the maximum sentence for the holdup in March of 2015.
Authorities said Senior handed a note to a pharmacist demanding oxycodone and threatened they would be hurt if they didn’t comply. He turned himself into police the following day and admitted he had a drug problem.
The federal judge took Senior’s 17 prior convictions into consideration when handed Senior a sentence of 71 months in federal prison.
