Missing Old Town teen found

OLD TOWN- Natalee Cote, 15, is reunited with her mother after being missing for more than 24 hours with her stepfather.

Cote was found early Tuesday evening 175 miles away in Hampton, New Hampshire. Her stepfather, Christopher Julian, is now in custody.

Julian picked Cote up from Old Town High School Monday afternoon. Her mother reported her missing to police, saying debit cards were missing from the home and transactions were made.

Old Town Police told us it's thanks to a New Hampshire employee that Cote is back with her family safe and sound.

“So we received a really good tip from an individual that was working a front desk at the hotel they were staying at,” said Chief Scott Wilcox of Old Town Police.

Julian is charged with tampering with custody, a misdemeanor charge in New Hampshire. He may face other charges here in Maine.

Police have not yet commented on why they believe Cote was in danger.
