OLD TOWN - The Third Annual Courageous steps walk-run was held in Old Town Sunday, and it raised money for local programs in the Old Town, Orono and Bangor area.

And the founder? Starting all of this before graduating high school.

At just eighteen years old, Connor Archer is fulfilling his dream of helping those in his community through his program "Courageous Steps."

Connor said, "I did this as a way to get back and say thank you to everyone who helped me get where I'm at today."

Community members gathered in Old Town Sunday morning to bring awareness about autism, ADHD, ADD, and other learning disabilities affecting children today.

At a time where we have to help one another out, Connor has taken it upon himself that in this area that is done.

He hopes to raise $10,000 dollars for the community and he said he wants to continue making this event bigger and bigger every year.

He's done so much more then Courageous Steps, he's volunteered for other things, so much. Its in his blood.
