AUGUSTA – The governor has ordered all U.S. And Maine flags to be lowered to half staff in honor of a judge who passed away last week.
Penobscot County Probate Judge Allan Woodcook Jr. was the longest serving probate judge before he stepped down three years ago. He passed away last week at the age of 92.
Governor LePage said flags should be lowered until sunset tomorrow.
Along with serving as a judge, Woodcook was also a city councilor, a state representative and also served as a state senator.
