Antarctic team closes in on legendary Sir Ernest Shackleton shipwreck

The Endurance, the ship of explorer Sir Ernest Shackleton, has been lost to the Antarctic ice for more than 100 years. Now, an ambitious expedition to locate the vessel is closing in on the wreck site.

Experts are intrigued by what they may find at the wreck site. Researchers will use Autonomous Underwater Vehicles to locate the ship's remains, which were crushed by pack ice and sank in November 1915.
