Andrew Badillo joined the ABC 7 and FOX 22 sports team in August 2017.

Before ABC 7 and FOX 22, Andrew graduated from Quinnipiac University with a degree in broadcast journalism. At Quinnipiac, Andrew was a member of the school's student-run television station, Q30 Television, where he served as its general manager, vice president, sports anchor and reporter. He gained experience covering Quinnipiac Athletics and was recognized by the Society of Professional Journalists and College Media Association for his work.

In addition to his experience at Q30, Andrew also gained professional experience at MLB Network and News 12 Connecticut.

Originally from Orangeburg, New York, Andrew is excited to get his career started in Bangor. He is especially eager to get to know the great local sports community in the North Region.

ORONO - MDI boys swim and dive won its second straight Class B state championship beating out rival Ellsworth. 

BANGOR - No. 2 Jonesport-Beals beat No. 7 Deer Isle-Stonington 63-45 to advance to the Class D North quarterfinals. 

AUGUSTA - No. 4 Lawrence used a strong second half to rally past No. 5 Erskine 53-38. No. 1 Cony survived a late scare beating No. 8 Medomak Valley 73-71.

AUGUSTA - No. 7 Skowhegan shocked No. 2 Hampden 68-63 to advance to the Class A North semis. 

AUGUSTA - No. 6 Brewer beat No. 3 Mt. Blue 71-60 to advance to the Class A North semis. Dylan Huff led the way for Brewer with 21 points. 

BANGOR - No. 2 Caribou boys basketball beat No. 10 Washington Academy 73-49 to advance to the Class B North semifinals.

BANGOR - No. 6 Ellsworth dominated No. 3 MDI 71-48 to advance to the Class B North semifinals. 

AUGUSTA - No. 1 Skowhegan girls basketball overcame a slow start to beat No. 8 Camden Hills 46-30 to advance to the Class A North semifinals. 

BANGOR - No. 3 Waterville girls basketball beat No. 11 John Bapst 44-35 to advance to the Class B North semifinals.

HOWLAND - The old barn was rocking Thursday night in Howland. An offensive barrage filled with threes and fast break points will do that to a sold out crowd.
