Skowhegan 'Indians' team name sparks debate

SKOWHEGAN - During a crowded school board meeting in Skowhegan locals on both sides of the issue debate whether the high school should keep the Skowhegan Indians mascot.

Ranked-choice decision likely not the end

BANGOR - The forthcoming decision by a federal judge over ranked-choice voting may not be the last step in the legal process.

BANGOR - Extra chairs were brought into a courtroom at the Margaret Chase Smith Federal Building so local students could learn about the judicial system while listening to arguments in Rep. Bruce Poliquin's federal lawsuit challenging ranked-choice voting.

Newport man sentenced for June shooting
