MINNEAPOLIS – Former Maine baseball pitcher and Maine native, Cody Laweryson, has his first major league assignment. Laweryson has been assigned to the Elizabethton Twins, the Minnesota Twins rookie-level affiliate.
Elizabethon’s season began earlier this week. The Moscow, Maine native was selected by Minnesota in the 14th round of this years MLB Draft. In his last year with Maine, Laweryson finished with a 2.85 ERA and 79 strikeouts.
