"Day of Good Deeds" making its second round in Bangor Featured

BANGOR - There isn't much more rewarding than spreading some good cheer just to brighten someone's day.

A group known as the Bangor Elves hopes you'll join them for a day of good deeds. It will all take place Saturday, December 16.

People are encouraged to do random acts of kindness to help spread positive energy throughout the community. It could be as simple as buying coffee for the person behind you in the drive thru.

Bangor Elves, Christine Longtin, said "A coffee. Go sit with your neighbor. Go sit with someone at a nursing home. Help someone bring in their groceries. Anything you can see that would make someone smile or help our community, that's what you should do."

Again, the day of good deeds will take place on Saturday the 16th.

The group will also be setting up a table in Pickering Square in Bangor where less fortunate people will receive winter coats, gloves and other cold weather gear.
