Words Unleashed! Story Slam: "A Maine Winter Tale/Tail"

Date: Fri. 19 Jan, 2018 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Duration: 1 Hour
Event Location: Jesup Memorial Library

Winter in Maine is in full swing with bone-chilling temperatures and snow piling up. Warm up and join your neighbors and friends at the Jesup Memorial Library on Friday, Jan. 19 at 7 p.m. at the first Words Unleashed! Story Slam of 2018. This month’s theme is “Maine Winter Tale/Tail,” stop by and share your true, first-person story that interprets the theme. Did winter throw you a few curve balls, or maybe you met your four-legged best friend one Maine winter. Come share your story at the Jesup. Join MC, Jeff Miller for a fun night; come to share, listen or to cheer on the story tellers. Those familiar with “The Moth” broadcast on NPR will recognize the format. These are true stories told live.  Stories must be your own and told in the first person. Stories should be no more than five minutes long. At the end of each slam, the theme of the next slam is chosen by the audience. Jesup hosts Words Unleashed! story slams every other month throughout the year, alternating with Verse Unleashed! poetry slams.
