Champion the Cure Month: Jaclyn Silk

BANGOR - On July 18th, Jaclyn Silk, a volunteer with Eastern Maine Medical Center's Champion the Cure Challenge stopped by to chat about the event that brings nearly 3,000 people together each year.

Jaclyn was named Volunteer of the Year for the event in 2017 and currently serves on the event's leadership team. 

She talked about why she chose to get involved with the cause, powerful moments experienced during previous years and why it's important to have comprehensive cancer services available close to home.
