BANGOR – The partnership makes Bangor Savings Bank the lead sponsor of UMaine athletics in a five-year deal, effective immediately.
With this new deal, Bangor Savings becomes the title sponsor for the Maine women’s sports programs and the school’s kids club, the Bananas Cub Club. The bank will also be the presenting sponsor of Maine football’s homecoming game against William and Mary on October 26.
UMaine athletics director Ken Ralph says the pairing seems right, “when I got here, I was wondering why Bangor Savings Bank and UMaine weren’t partnered up, especially with the reach that Bangor Savings Bank and its impact on the community. It just seemed natural from day one and I’m glad its finally here.”
