BANGOR – Thomas baseball defeated Husson on Thursday to end the Eagles’ historic 15-game win streak.
Husson scored first on an RBI single from David LeBlanc in the 3rd inning, but after that it was all Dylan Copeland who held the Eagles scoreless in a complete-game win on the mound.
Offensively, Thomas tied things at 1-1 in the top of the sixth, added one more in the seventh, and broke through for four more in the ninth on their way to a 6-1 win. Kyle Gleason led the way with three hits, while Devin Grindle came through with two RBI on the day.
Husson and Thomas will meet again in Bangor on Saturday for a double-header beginning at 1 p.m.
