BREWER - One year after losing to Greenville in the Class D softball championship game, PVHS is back and looking for revenge.

The Howlers and the Lakers meet again Saturday in the finals. Lakers ace Halle Pelletier outdueled PVHS hurler Leine McKechnie en route to a state title win for Greenville. McKechnie and the Howlers haven't forgotten that loss and are eager to have another crack at the Lakers.

"I mean last year it was such a heartbreaking game and we know how it felt and we really don't want to experience that again so we just have to come out playing our hardest and leave it all out on the field," McKechnie said.

Saturday's Class D state title game is set for 4 p.m at St. Joseph's College in Standish.
