No. 4 Orono baseball upsets No. 1 George Stevens in extra innnings, 6-5

BLUE HILL - Freshman Caleb Ryder's double in the eighth inning put the Red Riots through to the northern Maine final.

 

GSA tied the game at five in the fifth inning when pitcher Cam Shorette was called for a balk while trying to catch Eagles' Tanner Ashley with a hidden ball at third base.

 

Caleb Ryder hit his game winning double in the top of the eighth, scoring Jason Desisto, and Shorette closed the game out in the bottom of the frame.

 

Orono will face No. 2 Fort Kent in the Class C North final .
