ORONO - Maine will not earn a bye in the America East tournament with Friday's loss.

Hernen Sardinas opened game one with a lead off home run, and Maine had consistent offense from there, winning 4-1.

Nick Silva pitched a complete game in game two, giving up two crucial runs to earn the loss, and knock the Black Bears out of contention for a first round bye in the America East conference tournament.

Game three, the final regular season game for both teams, will take place Saturday at 11 AM. Former Maine player and College World Series MVP Joe Ferris will have his number honored before the first pitch.
