No. 8 Sumner boys advance past No. 9 Fort Fairfield, 70-59

SULLIVAN - Sumner junior Simon Torrey accounted for 27 of the Tigers' points, and they face No. 1 Central Aroostook on Tuesday.

Fort Fairfield scored 20 points in the third quarter to overcome a six-point halftime deficit, the game was back and forth through the end of the game.

 

The Tigers of Fort Fairfield were forced to shoot repeated three pointers, which they were were largely unable to hit.

 

Torrey said after the game on their defense: "Just tried to pack it in the zone, let their shooters shoot and they couldn't hit much..tried to let them hit what they could, slow everything down...feels pretty good dude we've haven't gone [to the Cross Insurance Center] in a really long time, our first real year going, really excited"
