ELLSWORTH - A big third quarter by the Ellsworth boys and a strong first quarter by the John Bapst girls set each team off for a win.

The Eagles had only a five point lead coming out of halftime but outscored Winslow 27-11 in the third quarter.

Ellsworth junior Darby Berry finished with a game high 24 points, and his team would win 68-43.

They move on to face No. 3 MDI on Friday at the Cross Insurance Center.

Unfortunately for Ellsworth, their girls team will not be play in Bangor this year, as they were upset by No. 11 John Bapst 34-27.

The Crusaders got out to a strong start, outscoring the Eagles 11-2 through the first quarter, and rode it to a victory.

They move on to face undefeated No. 3 Waterville on Friday as well.
