HAMPDEN - Bangor boys handed Hampden their second loss of the season.

In front of a packed home crowd at "The Stable," the Broncos got out to quick start dominating most of the first quarter behind the efforts of Mikey Raye and Bryce Lausier.

The Class AA-leading Rams came into form soon after, eventually leading by seven halftime.

Bangor would not relinquish that lead, and won their ninth game of the season 64-50.

Head coach Brad Libby said after the game: "If we can step on the court every day and work hard...and get a little bit better, we're going to continue to improve and be a really good basketball team by the end of the season..."

Over at Bangor, the Hampden girls beat Bangor 53-41.
