Maine football embarks on it's over five thousand mile journey to Ogden, Utah for their quarterfinal matchup against Weber State on Thursday morning.
This trip will go down as one of the longest trips the Black Bears have ever taken for a game, up there with the trip to Montana for the open of the 2004 season.
This will by far be the longest the current roster has traveled, however.
Maine completed its final practice today and won't have another full session before the game Friday.
As daunting as the flight may sound, the team is more excited than anything else.
"As far as I know it's the farthest we've ever traveled..that's just firing us up even more..we get to go across the country and we get a shot to prove we are one of the best teams in the country against a great opponent and I feel like no matter what the distance we're gonna do what we do..," said sophomore offensive lineman Liam Dobson.
