BANGOR - Coming off its first NAC three-peat in program history, Husson women's basketball has been tabbed to four-peat.

The key for the Eagles to repeat and make it back to the NCAA Tournament this year will be their bench. After Kenzie Worcester, Husson often struggled to to cement a secondary scorer and get consistent production off its bench.

Forward Sami Ireland was in the middle of the ups and downs last year and knows she and the rest of the Eagles need to be more consistent.

"We can't just depend on Kenzie for a 30-point game or you know me to not have 0 points. Cause sometimes we're not going to have those games and we need to have more people to step up and have more even scoring," Ireland said.

Husson men's basketball has also been picked to finish first in the NAC preseason poll.

The biggest question surrounding this team is how are they going to replace the production they lost from all-american Raheem Anderson? Good news for head coach Warren Caruso is that he brings back two of his top three scorers in forward Justin Martin and guard DJ Bussey.

Husson kicks off its season Saturday at home against Pine Manor.
