Belfast hires Bouchard as its next head football coach

BELFAST - After going winless in 2017 Belfast football needed a breath of fresh air. New head coach Gregg Bouchard hopes he can bring that and much more.

According to the Bangor Daily News, Belfast has hired Bouchard as its next football head coach. Bouchard will replace long time head coach Chris Bartlett who stepped down after 14 seasons with the Lions.


Bouchard has been a strength and conditioning coach since 2002, the Belfast alum played running back and linebacker on the Lions 1996 Class B state championship team. The Lions kick off their season Aug. 31 at home against Waterville.
