BELGRADE - After 11 holes of the Maine Amateur Championship final round it looked as if Jack Wyman would cruise to his second straight title.

The Portland Country Club member held a five shot lead over Bangor native Drew Powell and a six shot lead over Camden Hills senior Cole Anderson.

Wyman did take home the trophy but it didn't come easy as Anderson roared back to get within two shots of Wyman and had a shot to tie things up on 18. However, Anderson's birdie bid burned the edge of the cup and Wyman won the championship.

"It was a good effort on my end I made some good par putts on the end of the front nine there and kinda held on like I said," Wyman said.

"You know Jack (Wyman) played really solid today and I was happy that I was able to sort of pull it together on the back and give it a little bit of a run," Anderson said.
