HOWLAND - Kortney McKechnie has found her hitting stroke this postseason. The PVHS softball catcher delivered a 3 RBI double to break open No. 2 PVHS's Class D North semifinal matchup with No. 3 Katahdin. The Howlers went on to win 20-0.

The Howlers move on to play No. 1 Southern Aroostook in the Class D North title game.

"I'm so excited I mean my senior year going back to the northern Maine game hoping to defend our title. We just have to play our game and go out like we know how to play and we'll be good," McKechnie said after the game.
