ORONO – It’s been a little over a month since former Maine Senior Associate Director of Athletics, Lynn Coutts, packed up and started the next chapter of her life at the University of Denver.
This week she came home to Maine for the first time since moving out West.
Coutts was back for her daughter Maggie’s senior day on Tuesday. Lynn says she’s enjoying her new role as the Deputy Athletic Director for Student-Athlete Excellence at Denver.
She encouraged others to branch out and try new things, even if it means leaving those closest to you behind.
“Set your goals high and it’s never too late to change even careers or just change your location. Jack’s [her son] at Rhode Island, Maggie’s here doing her thing as a senior, Mike’s busy coaching. Sometimes when I call home they’re busy doing things so that I know is a good thing,” Coutts said with a smile.
