BREWER – Around three hundred people packed Jeff’s Catering in Brewer to support Jordan Parkhurst’s family.
The greater Brewer hockey community, and friends and family of Jordan, gathered Monday evening to remember Parkhurst and support his family. Parkhurst was killed in a motor vehicle accident on November Many local high school hockey teams were in attendance, as well as the entire UMaine men’s hockey team, including head coach Red Gendron and assistant coach Ben Guite.
Speaking off camera, Jordan’s mother, Debra Parkhurst said she was overwhelmed with turnout Monday evening, she added that she has leaned on the Brewer boys’ hockey team her son was a part of.
Brewer head coach Lance Ingerson said Monday the team plans to honor Parkhurst by recognizing him as an honorary captain and bringing his jersey to every game.
