PORTLAND – It was Cole Anderson’s week and no one was going to say otherwise.
The former Camden Hills star fired a final round 3-under 67 to finish at 9-under overall and win the 100th Maine Amateur.
“I tried to push the issue last year and kind of let it get away from me so this year I tried to make a pretty concerted effort to stay one shot at a time. I came here with sort of one objective and I wasn’t going to be happy with anything other than winning,” Anderson said.
Anderson had a chance to send the 2018 Maine Amateur to a playoff last year, but missed giving Jack Wyman his second straight title.
